Event Summary:
The Momentus Backyard Ultra & Fun Run offers an extraordinary trail running experience for all fitness levels. Set on our friend, Deangelo Williams’, Rushing Family Farm…a picturesque 100-acre farm in Monroe, NC. This event is not just a race; it's a celebration of endurance, community, and the great outdoors. Open to all levels and ages of runners, this unique event encourages participants to challenge themselves in a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Features:
2 Different Registration Options for Your Desired Level of Participation: Choose between a “Celebrity Fun Run” that is 4.167 miles (1 lap) with local stars from Professional Sports and Entertaiment or see just how far you can go with the “Ultra” event with no max limit to the mileage you can run. Register HERE
Vibrant Village Atmosphere: The event features a lively 'village' with plenty of room for tents and support crew set up. The energy is high with 24 hours of continuous music (you can even add your own music to our race Spotify playlist upon registration). Runners will have access to complimentary coffee and water at our aid station.
Professionally Organized: While runners are self-supported for essential materials, the race provides first aid access as needed and an experienced staff in race organization from end to end.
Official BackYard Race Format: Following the official Backyard Ultra Race rules, each runner will start every hour to run a 'yard' (4.167 miles). Any remaining time within the hour is for rest. The race continues until only one runner completes a yard on the hour, with all others receiving a DNF (Did Not Finish).
Unique Runner Identification: Runners will receive unique numbers, surrendered upon failure to make the start line at the hour.
Unique Rewards: We can’t promise that everyone will receive a participation trophy but we can say that we will reward those who reach specific milestones of ultra status and speed laps, along with the winner. Awards will vary in design and function and be revealed at registration.
Backyard Race: Limited to 100 total runners. Ultra Registration is $105 (all-in with fees) per racer, which includes parking, admission for support crew members, and friend/family support. Register HERE
Celebrity FUN RUN: The Fun Run registration cost is $50 (all-in with fees) per racer, which includes parking, admission for Runners, and friend/family support. Register HERE
General Admission: Free, covering parking and daily spectator access.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
5:00 AM - Venue opens
6:00 AM to 7:15 AM - Packet Pickup
7:00 AM - Mandatory Athlete Meeting
7:15 AM - All athletes should be on site and checked in
8:00 AM - Backyard Ultra, Fun Run Starts
Both the Fun Run and Ultra Race start on May 31st, 2025, at 8:00 AM and continue until 1 loop for the Fun Run and the last man is standing for the Ultra…typically lasting around 24 hours.
